Categories Options for Showcase Speakers:

Informative Speaking
You can develop an informative speech with 3 or 4 main points about a topic of your choice. Club advisors will help you with organization, research and delivery.

 Persuasive Speaking
You can develop an persuasive speech with 3 or 4 arguments/claims about an issue of your choice. Club advisors will help you with organization, research and delivery.

 Oral Interpretation (Poetry or Prose)
You can select a poem or two short poems to present to the audience. You can also choose a short selection from a novel or literature. Club advisors will help you with selecting pieces, rehearsal and delivery.

 Acting (Duet or Solo)
You can act out a short selection from a screenplay (movie script or actual play) as an individual for the solo acting or with a partner for duet acting. Club advisors will help you with selection, rehearsal and delivery.
